During World War II, Colonel José Arturo Castellanos, El Salvador’s consul in Geneva, worked with George Mandel-Mantello to issue Salvadoran nationality papers that protected thousands of Jews. Yad Vashem recognized him as Righteous Among the Nations in 2010.

This tour tells that story and the story of the Salvadoran Jewish community, present in the country for more than a century. Visits to community spaces depend on availability and are arranged in advance.
