Frequently asked questions

Travel guide

Is it safe to travel to El Salvador?

Security has improved dramatically in recent years and tourism grows every year. As anywhere, take basic precautions; our safety page covers the details.

Is the food really kosher?

Yes. Our restaurant is dairy (chalavi) and everything is Bishul Israel. If you need details about the supervision, ask us for the current information.

What about Shabbat?

We don’t run tours or deliveries on Shabbat. We plan your itinerary so Fridays end early and your meals are ready.

Do I need a visa?

It depends on your passport. Many nationalities don’t need one, and some pay for a tourist card on arrival. See the travel guide.

Can I pay in dollars?

Yes. The US dollar has been El Salvador’s everyday currency since 2001.
